At Predictable Revenue, they already had a well-established blog that featured a weekly recap of their popular podcast. An external writer would write up the recap of each episode then I'd do some minor editing, add graphics, and publish the article.
I was also in charge of screening the companies and writers who wanted to be featured on our blog. Reviewing, editing, and making any necessary changes to guest articles before publishing them.
We had a distinct advantage in terms of the ease with which we could create content partnerships. This was thanks to our CO/FOUNDERS (Collin Stewart and Aaron Ross) both well known and respected in the sales community.
This allowed us to leverage their network, which we took full advantage of to build backlinks, launch joint webinars, co-author ebooks, etc...
